We are a small family that lives and runs the marketgarden Eventyrhagen AS family consists of the couple Chris Robin, Linda and our two girls Hanne Linea 9 years, Lill Amelia 7 years old who live here, our adult son Bjørn-Eirik also comes home to visit and help out from time to time. Vår Lille Eventyrhage is a small organic certified Debio marketgarden with a focus on sustainability and old cultivation methods using hügel culture, no dig and the establishment of a food forest. We also have a small organic certified bakery. We grow several old cultural heritage varieties both of vegetables, herbs, flowers and are in the process of establishing more fruit and berries as part of the establishment of the food forest. We have a small flock of chickens of the old Norwegian country hen Jærhøns that is worthy of preservation, we also have quails and 4 cats. We process much of what we grow in the marketgarden, dry herbs, flowers, make juices, pickles, etc and we also do alot of baking espesially in the winter season. We have our own small mini horticultur and a small self-service farm shop. When it comes to languages, Linda speaks Norwegian and English, Chris Robin doesn't speak English but understands some. The woofers will learn about how we grow organically using old cultivation methods, building hügel beds, working building food forests, using co-planting, no dig. etc by participating in the garden. The days will vary but mainly consist of growing flowers/vegetables, sowing seeds, repotting, dividing plants, weeding, harvesting, establishing the food forest, building hügel beds, depending on the season there will also be juicing, pickling, tying, drying of herbs/flowers, care of the hens, etc. In the winter season you will learn about organic baking, food, planning for the season to come and also lear how to make soap, natural skincare. They become part of the family and have one room in our house, the room is not big but has a sofa bed that can be folded out into a double sleeping place, there is also a TV in the room. We eat together and have 3-4 meals a day, we eat a lot of what we grow and bake ourselves as well as other locally produced food but we also buy some food at the store. Much of the food we cook we cook together. We only have this one room and can hoste 1 woofer or a couple / 2 friends that is ok whit sharing bed. Our market garden is our passion, job and hobby, Chris Robin also loves carpentry, baking and cooking. Linda also loves cooking, herbal medicine and art. Our market garden is in beautiful Iveland and here there are many nice hiking opportunities, walking distance to a small local beach and small local shop. My stay at Eventyrhagen was amazing! It was my first Wwoofing experience and Linda, Chris Robin and the kids welcomed me at their home in such a warm and open way. They treated me like a family member. Working hours were very flexible and we had some fun family time over easter and I also had enough time for myself. We had great and fun conversations during the day and in the evenings and they taught me so much about organic farming, planting vegetables and flower and chickens. The kids were also lots of fun which made my stay special! I would recommend this farm to everyone who wants to learn a lot and be a part of their home, which they made to an awesome place for people, plants and animals to live!! I would stay their again! Tusen Takk Linda and Chris Robin!! Thanks for everything it was amazing! Kadda

Tusen Takk! Kévin et Cordélia

We had an amazing stay with Linda & Robin as wwoofers! During our time there, we had the chance to take part in many different activities: planting, harvesting vegetables from the garden, taking care of the animals (especially the quails), building shelters for plants and animals, making handmade soaps, and also baking. We baked bread, cookies, pasta, and other treats to sell at the local markets, a great opportunity to experience local life. The atmosphere was warm, kind, and friendly, they are great teachers. The setting was beautiful, and the days were well-paced without being stressful. We really appreciated the trust they placed in us, the variety of tasks, and the family-style exchanges. It was a truly well-rounded experience that allowed us to learn so much, both practically and personally. A big thank you for their warm welcome, generosity, and passion. We recommend this experience at 100%. Tusen takk! :)

I was fortunate enough to be the 1st wwofer at this beautiful farm. I have really enjoyed my stay there. The Chris and Linda were such a good couple, simple, down to earth, and kind. They treated me like their own family member. I had the opportunity to learn how they are changing the mainstream farming practices to back to the traditional, organic and sustainable that suits better the environment. Surprise to discover their grit to convert mountainous terrain into their a fertile place by proper staircase bed fields. They were really chill with working hours and evenings were free almost every day. Both little kids Hanne and Lille made my stay full of smiles, and also taught me some fun games along the way. Chris and Linda really made sure i feel like home and took really good care of me. I would definitely recommend this farm to anyone who wants to learn about organic farming in the deep countryside surrounded with mountains and rivers.
