We do foodproduction through regenerative farming and preparation of what the production brings. Maintenance of old farm buildings and use of the buildings for social activities like concerts and celebrations, is also a part of our concept. We, Martin & Christine, live in the main farmhouse. Martin nearly full time (sometimes working in Oslo) and Christine part time. Martin is a builder engineer and very handy. Christine is a social worker and coach, among others. Altogether we have three grown-up children. They often come to visit and participate in the activities on the farm. Liss, is renting one of the houses on the courtyard. She gives us a hand with the chicken and the airbnb. Liss has a cat, a dog, and a very nice boyfriend who often spends time at the farm, and is a skilled mechanic. A neighbour farmer keeps about 40 lactating cows in our barn. Another neighbour keeps her 12 mohair goats in our field near by the farmhouse. Tending the animals is the owners responsibility, and not a daily task on the farm. WWOOFers will participate in these activities: - Pre-cultivation of vegetables (greenhouse), cultivation, weeding, harvesting and gleaning, preperation for sale, concervation and sale. - Maintenence of tools, buildings and fields. - Take care of the chicken, and help our neighbour with her goats when needed. - Marketing on social media. Housing and meals: Woofers have their own fully equiped house with their own private bedrooms, but shared kitchen, bathroom, livingroom and laundry facilities. There are 7 bedroms in the "wooferhouse", and two extra bedrooms with an extra WC attached to the house. Woofers have access to the kitchen, the diningroom and the "concerthall" in the main farm house. All in the first floor. Our private apartment is on second floor. Woofers live of what is harvested, and we will to a certain extent buy the rest. With access to a fully equiped kitchen woofers will be expected to make their own meals, Some joint meals a week will be nice, but this might be a decision we make together? What a WWOOFer's day could look like at Korslund: The workweek is monday to friday. Woorking day starts at 9.00 AM, planning the day together with Martin. Work tasks: Opening lockers in the greenhouse, watering the plants, look after the chicken, weeding, pruning if necessary, putting up fences if necessary, forestry if necessary, harvesting, some carpentry and redecorating of buildings, etc. Lunch 11.30 - together, or in your own house. Work finish at 14.00 Martin loves to fix broken things in general. If you are a handy person too, he will be delighted. Carpentry, forestry, hiking and cooking is of his favourites. Martin is a skilled regatta-skipper. In 2017 he crossed the Atlantic with his sailingyacht "Tiffin". Tiffin remaned in the Caribien, and we spend every january and february sailing there. Christine has her main work outside the farm, but loves to participate and especially recieve guests at the farm and plan for it’s further development. Outdoor oportunities: There are great opportunitets to do hiking and tenting in the woods and by the lakes near the farm. Skiing in the winter, fishing, kayaking, and having friends over if you like. City-life in Oslo is not far away. Only about 35 min by train. We will drive you to the train station, or you can take our car if you have a drivers licence. Looking forward to see you, and to work together:))

Our stay with Martin and Christine was nothing short of wonderful! They are both extremely welcoming, kind and generous people. We thoroughly enjoyed our (somewhat) short stay, where they gave us a lot of flexibility and wonderful facilities. The farm is in a really lovely area, and we enjoyed our free time a lot, also with access to Martin and Christines small electrical car. We hope to be back sometime!

I spent almost three months with Christine and Martin over the summer and had such a wonderful time! They are incredibly kind and welcoming, and I felt at home right away. The work is enjoyable and not too demanding, but you should be comfortable working independently since they are not always on the farm. It’s a peaceful place with beautiful surroundings, and although they are often busy, they always took the time to support me whenever they could. I’m really looking forward to coming back some day and can highly recommend this place to future WWOOFers!

I had a very pleasant stay with Martin and Christine at Korslund Gard. Christine is a very sociable, helpful and open-minded person. She welcomed me warmly and made me feel at home: she made sure I had everything I needed (I even had a car at my disposal) and showed me some beautiful places to visit in the surrounding area. Martin is a friendly and curious person with a wealth of knowledge that I had the pleasure of learning from. They have a huge, well-organized property with a lovely Airbnb, partly because they are both hard workers. During my wwoofing experience, I did many different tasks, both with the help of machinery and power tools and with manual labour. The main goal was to prepare the property for a big party with many guests, which was very important to both of them. I was lucky enough to be part of the team that organized this event. We put up a large marquee, mowed the lawn and fields, cleaned, painted and tidied up the space, and I took care of the chicken coop and dried garlic. In my free time, I visited Eidsvoll verk 1814, where Norwegian democracy was born, and where I learned about the history of Norway. I went to the nearby forest, where I enjoyed picking blueberries and mushrooms (and one evening we ate a delicious Italian risotto with mushrooms together!), and I enjoyed staying in my cozy apartment with fully equipped kitchen, where I could cook whatever I wanted! It was an unforgettable experience! Highly recommended for both wwoofing and Airbnb!
