1. Describe your project, your location and its inhabitants (including animals):
I live here together with some of my children(13-29). I have a "Fellow resident", who lives in a tiny house on the farm. I have some Friends who have small cabins here. We currently have cats and chickens. Now we also have a man from Hungary (28), he have been wwoofer here 2 times (6 weeks + 3 months), in September 2025 he mooved in here. He's living in a tinyhouse, and are employed.
The farm is located in the south-eastern part of Norway, about an hour and a half south of Oslo (by car, more difficult by official transport). It's a forested area with lots of opportunities for hiking and exploring. There is also a lake nearby for swimming. I have lived here for 30 years, this summer, and I am now in the process of building a larger community on the farm with focus on sustainable living and self-sufficiency.
In the main building I live with my 13 and 20 years old fostercare-sons. I have four other kids that are grown up, but they visit a lot and might stay on the farm during vacations etc.
There are also a few other residents on the farm, in tiny houses, and other people who are connected to the farm in different ways.
2. List the activities WWOOFers will participate in and what you want to teach them:
Permaculture, forest garden design, forestry, gardening, some maintenance work, shared cooking, construction of greenhouses and hen houses - and much more. Building up a LAND-center. We have relief services for children/young people. Call it a visiting home. They live here on weekends and some holidays. Popup events. We are building up a place where we can self-rescue as a community.
Through practice, you can learn some of this: Composting, construction, weeding, harvesting, gathering, food preservation, outdoor life, building a community, take care of peoples and animals, about yourself, self-rescue in a community.
3. How could a WWOOFares day look like on your farm (time for participation in activities, expectations ...)?
Monday-Friday:
8.15 Breakfast together
9. Morningmeeting
9.30 First modul
12 Cofftea
12.30 Second modul
13.30 Lunch together
15 Third modul
1630 cleaning up after the day/
make dinner
17 dinner together
Cleaning up the kithen
Saturday-Sunday:
During the weekends we also need to take care of the animals, and make food. We are sharing the responsibility, and make plans together.
The evenings you can have for yourself, or you can agree to do something together - leisure activities.
Sometimes we might have to change the schedule - we find a solution together.
Accommodation is in a tent or caravan. There is room for 3 persons in the caravan.
4. Tell us about your own interests (music, cooking, etc.) and those that are possible to do all around (hiking, swimming, etc.):
Music, song, dance.
Cooking.
Hand craft.
Outdoor life. Hiking, swimming, tenting, “hammocking” and so on.
Biking.
People! Community.
Play, laugh and have fun.

Sandefjord, Torp is the nearest airport. It's some buses go closer, but we get that agreement.

October 2025
When we first got to the farm at the start of September, I cried a lot, feeling homesick. Now at the start of October, it has become a home and leaving it made me cry so much harder! Even though it wasn’t initially planned, we even stayed a week longer, because it was so hard to leave all of this behind. Living in a caravan, out of your backpack and working on the farm can be quite exhausting but this family makes it all worth it. You spent so much time together (while working and during your free time as well) that it becomes inevitable to grow close. Every day brings new experiences and it never gets boring! A day in Autumn can include a lot of carpentry, cleaning, wood chipping, caring for the chickens, cooking and time spent together, hiking, swimming and of course playing card games in the evening. There‘s great food and people with a lot of patience and kindness who are willing to give so much in exchange for helping out around the farm. We are so grateful for the month we got to spent with you :) hope to see you soon,
Jojo and Trine

Thank you, Camilla! I really enjoyed my stay at the farm. It is a friendly place and I had everything that I needed. I liked that I could try different types of work that I usually don't do, like taking care of chickens, helping with building a roof for the caravan, cutting trees, digging trees, bringing straw etc. on a flower bed, embroidery and so on. I also liked that we were all eating together and spending time together, like going to a hike or to the lake. Or going to Larvik or nearby farm. I hope that I can visit again some other time. And let us know when you plan to visit Czechia😁 Wish you all the best:)

My time at Camillas farm was truly special, and I have already planned my trip back. You can tell that community is a big focus, and I learned a lot about how she fosters connection. There is always work to do but it is often decided together who does what. It feels like a great mix of responsibility and independence.

Great place- big recomendation:)
Nordre holt is a place to (re)connect with nature, meet lots of lovely people from around the world and learn usefull skills along the way. I was taught a lot about permaculture, planning& construction and conserving foods!
The farm really feels like a community, and you can tell that Camilla centers the wellbeing of the people. She will always have an open ear for you and help you with any difficulties during your stay.
While there is structure throughout the day, a lot of flexibility is left to the woofers- for example, I found some clay during construction and we endet up making little sculptures from it:) so fun! there is enough time for swimming, hiking, baking and whatever makes you happy!
Thanks for everything, Camilla<3

This was my first wwoofing experience, and I never thought it would be such an incredible one. From the very beginning, Camilla and her family make you feel at home, like part of their family. I not only learned things about the farm and permaculture, but it also helped me to discover myself as well. I enjoyed every moment, every discussion, every laugh and I’m very happy to have been part of the farm and to have met other amazing wwoofers. I only have words of gratitude for Camila and for all the people I got to meet. It’s an experience I will never forget. See you soon :)

I spend 2 weeks at the farm and it was a wonderful experience even if it would have been way better to stay longer.
I had the occasion to meet wonderful people, as it was Camilla and her family or the other WWOOFeurs, and to see a lot of beautiful landscape.
I could have done other things but I made my choice on the different works wich were possible. I did a lot of construction for the toolshed, I took care of the chickens, I weeded, I helped for the tea, etc... and of course I participate in all the house work as we all did.
Thanks to all this work, and the little permacultur class we had, I learn things that I know I would use sooner or later, and I want to thanks you again Camilla for this experience.
And I want to had that I quickly felt like a member of the family thanks to everyone and thanks to Camilla particularly because she know how to make you feel confortable.
