Are you interested in farming and do you love animals? Or are you maybe the handyman with carpenter skills? This year we will need all the help we can get! Our lifeproject started on a farm we rented. This year we bought finally our own farm just 20 minutes from here.( after yeeeears of searching and wishing) just 20 minutes from here. Come and help us over to our new own organic farm. We will need to build and get it ready during 2026. We are working with our lifeprojekt on the farm, which contains milkinggoats and cheesmaking and we take the goats to the mountainfarm in the sommertime. We are an økological farm. We are a family of 5. Eric, Flora Nine, and the children 15, 13 and 5 years old. Because we have teenagers in the house, we have the need for more privacy. Thats why it is important that you like your own company 😊 The children and we are speaking both Norwegian and Dutch and English! We are having woofers almost all the time and have place for maximum 2 woofers. We have a caravan and also a little room to live in. As a woofer, you will learn a lot here, it is nice if you can work independently and like to be on yourself in your freetime. As a woofer you some days are working long days and other days hiking and enjoying nature The days are starting early. Cleaning the barn, feeding the goats and you can see how milking works! There will be some repetitive cleaningtasks. Very nice if you like to be around kids! Me, Flora Nine, will be cheesemaking every day, and in that time it is nice if you can work with tasks independently. There is always the opportunity to watch the cheesemaking prosess but the cheesemaking room is pritty small. There will be tasks like packing cheeses and helping on the markeds. It is also very important that you can communicate when you need some time or when there is other things you need to share, so we know how you are doing😊 There is allways a lot of work to do on a farm and we are working all day long(and also need our moments doing workout yoga or mindfulness), so it is important that you take your freetime too! But if you like to work as much as us, please do!! A nice balance is important here! We need sometimes diners just alone with our family and will ask you to eat the diner for yourself sometimes or you will do it naturally yourself. Although we really like you to be around, we also got the experience that it is important for our family to have our space! We need people that have a little experience or are fast learners! And the best is that you can be here for several weeks or even months. We always need to find out if there is a good connection between us. If it doesn't feels ok to you or to us, we have another (friends-)farm you might like to go to, or we ask you to have a plan B for your travel. Certifications: Eric Visser Current projects: building of the productionfacility, goat kids coming in februar, starting milking the goats ( milking we do ourselves, but if you really are eager to help there, you will have to stay for at least 6 months, because it will take me time to learn you all, than it is nice you can also use what you learnedon our farm), feeding the animals, vegetable garden, building projects at the summerfarm, fencing. and more. Internet access available but not so good outside of the house and on the summerfarm.

Instead of 2-3 weeks as planned at the beginning, I was with Flora and Eric for a total of 3 months. What can I say, it was an unforgettable time. A few months ago I would not have thought that I would work on a goat farm for so long and also have so much joy and fun. I have learned so much in the months and I am so grateful for the time with the two. Two such great people who have built something great together! The baby booming in February was a very special experience! The goat products are a dream. If you like goat products, you are here in paradise :) Thank you for the nice time, I will definitely come back! Lots of love <3

My stay at Flora Nines farm was in August/ September. I came in the last week of the mountainfarm-season which is a very stressful season for the farm owners. Due to this there was not so much capacity to introduce me in the routines of the farm which caused some missunderstandings. By talking about it and agreeing on a new start we got a really good relationship and I could enjoy my stay very much. I loved the mornings when Flora was milking the goats, I was cleaning the barn and we could talk and laugh together in the midst of the curious and cuddly goats :) I also did a lot of garden work: I harvested loooots of potatos, onions, beans, berries, ... and learned plenty about how to preserve vegetables which was super interesting! My highlight was a fishing boat trip in the mountains - the peace and calmness on the water combined with some good muscle work while rowing was amazing :D I enjoyed a lot beeing close to the family, share the meals with them and especially playing with their daughter - this helped me so much to improve my Norwegian :D Thank you so much for having me!

Staying at Nordre berg for 3 weeks was a very good experience for me! Flora-Nine and Eric gave me a warm welcome and everything was exactly like they had told me in advance. I enjoyed to work in the barn with Flora-Nine and to get to now the goats! :) I could also work in the garden - they always gave my work that was nice to do for me. I felt that they were always concered about me having a good time! It was possible to talk about everything and they were very open minded and flexibe. Time just flew - thank you a lot for giving me this great opportunity to work with you in this wonderful place you created in Nordre Berg!!!

Nordre Berg is an interesting farm centered around goats and cheese making! The farmers are friendly and the focus is on the work. I was looking for a socially integrating travel experience and did not find it there. (Access to amenities like Internet and bathroom could be improved.)

I spent 7 weeks at Flora Nine's place, it was my first time wwoofing and it was truly the best I could hope for. I felt comfortable at the farm so quickly, they are such nice people, open, friendly and tolerant, who did their best to make me feel like at home. I especially enjoyed their way of communication, which was very open, thoughtful and respectful, and that was really nice, because I knew I could tell them when there is a problem and also the other way around. I didn't worry about getting uncomfortable, homesick or feeling alone at all. I liked working there, they had a nice balance between working and free time, and it was always fun to be with the goats, especially the little ones. I was so lucky to experience all the baby-goats. I saw and learned so many new things, that I will never forget. I am so glad, that I shared my time with them and I miss it very much.❤️

I have spent 4 weeks at Nordre Berg and I can absolutely recommend this place! Flora and Eric tought me a lot about goats and what it means to be a farmer everyday (even when you are sick). They cared for me/us with lots of coffee and good food! The cabin and caravan are comfy. It was still winter so tasks were mostly mucking out the barn and feeding in the morning and afternoon (and spending time with and cuddling the goats and babies), walking with Indra and some little things like labeling or building a table for the goats. I got to see the milking and cheesemaking (super cool!), taste a lot of their delicious products and enjoy the beautiful nature around the farm. The communication with Flora before and during my stay was always transparent and clear. Tusen takk for welcoming me in your family, the good time and all the inspiring thoughts on life you shared! I hope to see you all again one day!

We are so happy that we met you for 4 weeks on our farm, Leonie. You are kind, humble, hard-working, respectfull, understanding, independ, inspiring, and really nice to have around and in our family! We have been enjoying your stay and are sooo thankfull that you helpt us out when we most of the time had the terrible korona-virus while you where her. I don't know how we would have survived this without you and your helping hands, in the barn, with the family, the dog, making food and giving us the time to rest when we needed it. We hope you will have many nice woofer experiences and we wish you all the best in your interesting job! Thank you so much for being so kind and such a wonderful human being ❤️ Hug from Flora Nine and the family
