Our small farm is located in Tovik. 45km from Harstad and 35 km from the airport Evenes. Surrounded by mountains and the ocean. Lovely view when hiking or mountain biking while time off work. The main production is the raspberry. The vegetable garden contains mainly of potatoes and carrots. Some cabbage and other vegetables At the time we have 8 sheeps (Old Norwegian breed) and 10 chickens. Sometimes we need to work in the afternoons and evenings. These days the Wwoofer will have time off earlier in the day. How to get here: - Plane to Harstad/Narvik airport Evenes. Bus to Tjeldsund bridge where we pick you up. - The Hurtigruta to Harstad. Bus to Tjeldsund bridge where we pick you up. Or we pick you up in Harstad - Train from Sweden to Narvik. Bus from Narvik to Evenes airport or Tjeldsund bridge. - Train in Norway to Fauske. Bus from Fauske to Harstad or Tjeldsund bridge. We had two wonderful weeks with Odd-Arne and signe! The welcome was warm, the atmosphere relaxed, and the work always done with good vibes. We learned a lot about gardening while enjoying many lovely moments together. It was easy to communicate with Odd-Arne, both before the stay with quick responses and through the stay. The work was nice, well structured and variated. Odd-Arne and Signe made sure we were comfortable, and also got the most out of the experience exploring the nature in our free time. I really appreciate how they made us feel like home and shared their daily life with us. I think it is quite unique that they are so friendly and also see it as a cultural exchange for the whole family. Even as a Norwegian I learned a lot about farming and daily life in a more remote village. I highly recommend WOOFing at Tovikbonden. Tusen takk! :)

I had a wonderful time at the farm. The family welcomed me with open arms and the work was clearly defined, structured, and varied. There were two of us wwoofers and we picked berries (and ate lots of them 🙂), harvested potatoes and carrots, cut bushes, etc. We also had enough free time to explore the beautiful area by hiking or running. I had my own cozy room and there was also a lovely cat. And last but not least, yes, the food was delicious and I already miss it 😄! I recommend this place and would come back again!

Our stay at Tovik Bonden was truly wonderful. We were touched by the beauty of the place and by the care that Odd Arne and his family take in cultivating the land and welcoming their woofers. The work lasted about five hours a day. We spent this time carrying out a variety of tasks, such as tending the raspberry bushes, harvesting strawberries, redcurrants and vegetables from the garden, storing firewood for the winter, and working on the fences. Our free time gave us the opportunity to discover the magnificent mountains of the surrounding area, to share great discussions at the table with Odd Arne, Dag Frid and Signe, and to enjoy some fishing, baking and climbing with Arne and Frida. We had a really great time at TovikBonden! We were living with the family who is very welcoming, and shared good time with them. We worked ca 4 hours a day on the farm, the tasks were interesting and Odd-Arne and his wife took the time to explain the organisation of the farm. During our free time, we explored the surroundings that are crazy beautiful! Tusen Takk Odd-Arne and family!

My sister and I loved our two week stay at TovikBonden in May. It was our first time wwoofing. As we are true suburbanites, we needed a lot of instruction and guidance with the farm work, but Odd-Arne was very patient with us. The work was very satisfying. We helped put up fences, prune the raspberries, muck out the sheep’s winter home, and plant vegetables. The family was very welcoming. They included us in whatever they were doing: family dinners, climbing practices, Seventeenth of May celebration, and a birthday party. Thank you for your gracious hospitality and your forbearance with us! We have taken home many beautiful memories from our stay in Tovik.
