Looking for a person who wants to learn about organic farming and live off what the farm can produce. Also someone who wants to stay for a longer period of time. Many different interesting tasks. Everything from caring for nature to harvesting vegetables, berries, sheep and cutting wood. A little fishing for your own use. You live in a small cabin by yourself in quiet surroundings. There are also 2 other housing units closer to the farm. Where one housing unit has electricity. Heating with wood burning. You get raw materials and you cook most of the time yourself. I had a wonderful stay with Terje and Grete. Since I was there during the winter, the two main tasks were feeding the 45 sheep every morning (it quickly became a routine) and chopping wood for heating. I even got to try out many different wood-cutting tools that I had never used before! Terje was a great teacher, he knows a lot about Norway, the mountains, the trees, the mushrooms (even the dinosaurs!), and he was patient when I tried new things on the farm (like chopping logs with an axe). Grete didn't work with us outside, but she was also very generous with me : she lent me knitting supplies and gave me yarn so I could knit hats, and she shared her delicious homemade mutton pizza on saturdays! If you come in the heart of winter, like I did, bring warm clothes, even for indoors, as the kitchen reserved for WWOOFers in winter is very cold (but the rest of the house is well heated, and the duvet is very thick). Amidst the magnificent scenery and sheep, I had a wonderful time, I've never slept so well, and I'm very glad I met Terje and Grete.

I stayed at Sandnes Farm from November 2024 to March 2025. In these four months I discovered a whole different way of living and learnt a lot of useful things (e.g.how to work with tools, care for sheeps or bake my own bread). During my stay I slept in the tourist house, which is very spacey and comfortable with everything you need (running water, electricity, your own kitchen/bathroom). Working hours were around six hours a day, six days a week. The work consisted of various tasks everyday but also tasks that became a daily routine like feeding the sheep. Since it was winter, cutting down trees and splitting wood was a frequent task. On days with bad weather we spent time in Terje´s wood workshop to repair or craft things. During my stay we also realised major projects like building a feeding station for the sheeps or clearing a pasture of juniper bushes. Working with Terje was really interesting since he has a lot of knowledge to share about local nature and history and is very passionate about his wood crafting. You´ll get produce from the farm to cook with, which was the best part for me because you could see the result of your work on your plate: The fresh sheep meat after slaughtering, the fresh fish after fishing or homemade applesauce made from apples from the farm. Grete and Terje are really kind people who did everything to make me feel welcome. I really recommend Wwoofing here! Thank you Sandnes Farm for making my first Wwoofing experience so special!

25: I spent a beautiful month in nature. At first was quite difficult for the weather and also 'cause the last time I spent only one week. But I adapt. I've had the time for myself also and for working a little bit for the farm. Grete and Terje are very kind and available for everything. Fjord's life isn't so easy for people that come from the cities, but I think that this Fjord's life is more a real life. There is a lot of silence (even if cars go fast in a small route)...you are totally free in the nature. Wake up with the sun and fall asleep when the sun goes down.. so your body can totally relaxed in Skifjiord. I'm so grateful to have some beautiful places in my eyes...and I'm greatful to have learned many things in the farm (from make jam to milking and fix the hay). If I close my eyes, I can see the place right here and this make me cry a little bit because I felt like home. A special thanks goes to Terje and Grete that was like family. <3 24: This was my first time in Wwoofing. A really unique experience and a journey in the past. I was in total connection with nature and myself. At the beginning it was quite hard to adapt me to the place but after I liked it so much. I was very free to do things and I liked so much to exchange ideas and stories. If you want to work and learn a little bit without stress this is is perfect for you, but maybe it could be better for more than 2 weeks (Like I did). See you soon Sandnes Farm. Thank you for the good food and the welcome.

I had a wonderful experience as a WWOOFer in July 2024. I stayed in a lovely litte cabin for a week away from all the noises and disturbances of city life. The farm is located in an incredibly beautiful fjord. My works included plucking berries, plucking weeds from the vegetable farm, lawn mowing with sickle, helping Terje to cover the berries with a net to protect from the birds eating up all the berries, helping Terje with cutting woods and feeding chicken. Working hour was very flexible and I got plenty of free time exploring the fjord. There was also another nice WWOOFer from Spain. One day, Terje took us out to the fjord for fishing but unfortunately we got any fish that day. The weather was mix of rainy and sunny days. Both Terje and Grete were kind people and Terje was very patient explaining things to me. Pizza and bread made by Grete is especially delicious.

I spend just ten days on Terjes and Gretes farm. During my stay I helped, amongst others, with weeding in the vegetable garden, removing Foxglove from the sheep pastures, clearing trees and helping with the sheep, sometimes working with Terje and another wwoofer, sometimes on my own. We also went net fishing. The working day was usually around seven hours, six days a week, which did not leave so much time to explore the surroundings, I should have stayed a little longer. It is a very beautiful and quiet place, wonderful surrounding to be working in. After work I enjoyed going down to the fjord for a swim.
