UPDATE: we are now also looking for people in the winter season. In the middle of the winter the work is centered around the animals, feeding, cleaning out the stables, maintenance work, and also starting the season in the greenhouse. Our farm is a small scale farm but hosts a lot of different activities. 5 of our 27 hectars are grassland for pasture and haymaking. We have a large vegetable garden, berries and fruit trees for homesupply. We offer greencare for a group grown ups 3 days a week, give courses in basketry weaving and rent out an old farmhouse we have moved to the farm. We have choosen a low tech approach on farming, based on some real horsepower and smal tractor. Work will vary according to season. There is always maintainance to be done on both buildings and equipment. Also the animals need to be taken care of daily. In springtime we have lambing, and also some work in the greenhouse where we do the seeding. Summertime there is weeding to be done, grass to be cut, berries to be picked, and buildings to be painted. Authum is harvesting time where we also find time to look for mushrooms and wildberries. We often have building projects on the farm. To work here you need to have a positive attitude, be social and preferably speak some scandinavian or english. You need to be flexible and willing to learn, and prepared to to take part in the daily life on the farm. We are finishing our waterpower supply this spring/summer (2023). We got selfsufficient on electric energy this winter. Next step is the construction of a 4 season greenhouse. This puts us in need of woofers with building experience for 2023. Certifications: Organic sertification since 2002, using BD preparations and methods of regenerative farming

I spent the entire month of February at Søre Skogen together with my brother and it really was a perfect first wwoofing experience. The farm is beautiful and Drude and Martin are incredibly welcoming people. There is a lot of room for learning and the two have lots of knowledge which they are happy to share. Even in Winter when work can easily be a little bit onesided they tried to make our workexperience as variable as possible. I would always choose Søre Skogen again to go wwoofing and am really greatful for the time I got to spend there and for getting to know the amazing people and animals.

I have been on this farm for a bit longer than a month now and i can easily say that it is just a perfect wwoofing experience. Martin and Drude are very nice people and you will have lots of interesting conversations with them. They take you in and you will feel like a part of the family and like being home. They showed me the surroundings, told me lots about the culture and even took me to some concerts. The work here is truly meaningful and is different every day. So you will never get bored on this farm. The food is delicious and the farm is just wonderful. Especially the room in the tower is perfect for reeding or just looking at the sunset. I will highly recommend wwoofing here. It is just perfect.

I spent one month at Søre Skogen and had a great time. Martin and Drude are very welcoming and heartfelt people. The farm is beautiful, the work is fun, variable and fair. Martin and Drude treat their surroundings with great care including the animals, the grounds, nature and the people of course. Thank you very much once again!

Simon and his sister spent a month here with us during the winter. He was really helpful and we really enjoyed having him around. He helped us out with different chores, and also worked quite a bit with the firewood, a great help! He was in every way thrust worthy and a good guy! We would not hesitate to welcome him back, and we do hope to see him again. I

We spend two wonderful weeks at this stunning place and can truely recommend Sore Skogen if you get the chance! We had two little kids with us and stayed in the old Code hut next to the farm, which was Not only like living in a museum, but a great experience in every way. Drude and Martin are very warmhearted and openminded and great to be around. We have learned a lot, enjoyed the beautiful landscape and day trip recommandations as well as the very yummy and healthy food. Tussen Takk for the great experience and your hospitality!

I spent a couple of weeks at Søre Skogen and had a fantastic time. There’s always something to do—whether it’s gardening, helping with the animals, or doing some handywork. You also have plenty of free time to explore the surroundings or just relax. The farm is beautiful, and Martin and Drude are very kind, knowledgeable, and have amazing stories to share. I highly recommend visiting their farm!
