We are Lene and Ingar, a couple in our 50s with grown-up children. We bought this farm in 2020 and moved here to live a life free from stress and in balance with nature. We have all the modern facilities of 2026 but we try to consume as little as possible. We are not certified organic because we don't sell anything off the farm, we only produce what is used in the household. Lenes education is in organic farming and traditional food preserving and she has 30 years of experience in these fields. Ingar work part time outside the farm, but do all the building and repairing here in addition to running the farm together with Lene. We grow vegetables, grains, potatoes, fruit, berries, flowers and herbs and we provide ourselves with eggs and meat from our chickens and sheep and building materials and firewood from the forest, trying to be as self-sufficient and sustainable as we can. We follow regenerative principles and care deeply for all small creatures both below and above the soil surfase. In that concern we leave some areas of the forest to grow old and some areas we open up to create a natural pasture, and we have the life of insects in mind in everything we do. The work here will be working in the vegetable garden, mending fences, caring for and providing food for the animals, providing wood, landscaping and harvesting and preserving food for the winter, amongst other things, all depending on the weather and season. If you are interested in building, restoring, woodwork, mechanics, blacksmithing, pottery, needlework or almost any other handcrafts here are possibilities of trying it out. It is also nice to go hiking in the surrounding nature and take a bath in the river running past the property. You will have your own space in a small and cosy cabin 20 metres from the house. It has elecrisity and wifi and is a good place to retreat. You will of course have access to our house with bathrom and kitchen at all times. If you have a dog you are welcome to bring it with you as long as it is calm and do not chase any of our animals. We are not vegetarians, but we don't eat a lot of meat and can easily adapt our meals suitable for a vegetarian. We will eat breakfast, lunch and dinner together and preparing meals is part of the day. The main ingredients of the meals comes from the farm and follows the season. We look forward to welcome you as our guest. Do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

I had a wonderful time with Lene! She is very friendly, has funny chickens, a cosy house, and a big knowledge to share with her wwoofers. We had very interesting conversations about organic farming and food :-)

Lene is a very friendly host, she taught me a lot of knowledge of organic farming and Norway. She also took me out visiting some places. I feel like the wwoofing experience is more like visiting a friend of mine. I had a very good time wwoofing in her place.
