We have started our journey towards being the world best farm in the fields of animal welfare, enviromnet and sosial media! :D We need help to get everything in place. The farm is located by the foot of Oslos highest plateau mountain Norefjell, by the lake Krøderfjorden. (1,5 hour drive from Oslo). We have free range Happy Pigs outdoors that have helped us prepare an area for new growing where we need help. The farm is powered by our own bioenergy plant. We have sheeps, pigs, horses, dogs and cats. We would love help from wwoof’ers that have worked a lot manually before. One huge advantage would be knowledge of carpentry for some small projects. Some experience with machinery and fencing is welcomed. We have various big and small projects, and prefer wwooffers who will stay for a period of time and integrate in creating the dream. 1,5 hours from Oslo. 2 hour drive from OSL Gardermoen. 1 hour from Drammen. 45 min from Hønefoss. Very little public transport. We can pick you up at Noresund or Krøderen bus stops.

My stay at Live and Kristoffers farm was AMAZING! It were seriously the best two months of my life and I'm already looking forward to April when I will come back!!!
I came in the slaughtery season (October-start of December) which was such a good experience because the highest goal of Live and Kristoffer is to give their pigs and sheep the best life (and also the best death) they can have. It really changed my perspective to eating meat in a good way: I got so much more thankfulness towards the animals and could enjoy every piece of the suuuper tasty meat so much more! And I'm much more aware of buying good and "happy" meat now than before.
Most of the time I worked together with Kristoffer who is the best boss! He always had a good joke and was so patient even if I did a really stupid mistake :)
Live is the kindness in person - she made me feel welcome immediately and ALWAYS was caring for my wellbeing in a super sweet way. Besides I enjoyed so much the times with the incredible kids - they are so open, kind and already helping a lot on the farm.
What made my stay perfect were the amazing other wwoofers I lived and worked together with <3

I spent 7 wonderful weeks at Skinnes Farm.
I was welcomed very warmly and they gave me a very good insight into the work at the beginning. I came during the slaughter season and found the work very interesting and I learned many many new things.
I am also grateful that they gave us good recommendations on what to do in our free time, like good hikes or nice places.
It was a great and exciting time with a very nice and generous family.
I highly recommend it.

I have always been interested in the Scandinavian culture and alternative lifestyles since I live in Berlin.
I do appreciate the big city very much, but often feel like losing touch with the existential things in life.
The time and work with Live and Kristoffer has grounded me, their farm is an absolute role model of how agriculture science of the future can be, it’s impressive how much time, energy and effort they put into their projects and to make everything work well.
The two of them have always been super friendly, helpful and very warm. Their staff leadership is also exemplary, you come to learn and help together as a team!
Live is a real power woman, I found her mentality of working hard on her dreams and goals and always being optimistic very inspiring.
I can only recommend to spend time with them!

I stayed at Skinnes in April and even though it was only for 11 days it was an amazing experience!
Live and Kristoffer are lovely people and they care a lot about the well-being of their WWOFers. Moreover, they try to give their animals the best life that they can and this results in very high-quality products. The taste of the pork meat is phenomenal😁
There was another German WWOFer at Skinnes and we stayed at a small apartment next to the workshop.
Our main task was to take care of the sheep since there were new lambs everyday. This included feeding them, refilling water and hay, mucking and also making sure that the newborns were fine.
Other tasks were taking care of the horses and feeding the cats.
In addition to that, I felled some trees and logged them.
Having said that, there's always something to do and you can't really get bored😄
All in all, I loved it there and I couldn't have wished for better hosts!

It was an amazing experience to be with this lovely family! A month full of new experiences, creative and varied work tasks and above all we made new friends.
This farm is the perfect place to get to know the norwegian culture and be inspired by the nature.
Live, Kristoffer, Liv and Halvor are lovely people who really care about the volunteers and make your time unforgettable.
