We are looking for help with the farm and our animals. We have a diverse and small farm with different animals such as cows, sheep, horses, pigs, ducks, some chickens, rabbits and 2 dogs. The daily work with is around 5-6 hours per day. You have to be able to work independently. Can be possible for people who need farm practice such as veterinary-students or if u like to learn about livestock and General small-scale farming. For extended stays at our farm the 4 first weeks will be a trial periode. Our farm is around 10 hectares with grassland, 7 hectares of pastures for the animals, and 190 hectares of woodland. We use organic compost and natural manure. We welcome WWOOFers the whole year . We have 9 cows and their calves, 3 sows with piglets that are free range on the fields and in the forest. We also have 15 sheep and lambs which we need help with to observe them and maintain their fences. We keep around 20 chickens to produce eggs and need help to look after the chickens and collect the eggs. Also some few geese and ducks which need to be let out every morning and inside every evening. In addition we also have some rabbits. We have a cosy cabin for WWOOFers to use with a kitchen, bathroom with a hot shower, toilet, washing machine and clean drinkable tap water. There are 2 beds in the bedroom (1 double and 1 single bed). We use mostly organic food when making meals. Some meals will be prepared and eaten together with us, some meals you will prepare yourself with the food we provide. There will be from 1 to 3 WWOOFers at the farm at the same time, some times up to 4. Tasks/activities can be with animals - feeding and observing and some fencing. If we have time left we will work in forest, removing brushes and making new pastures for the animals. Their could also be other types of work for example painting, maintenance and tending to the plants in the garden and vegetable field (transplanting, burning weeds, weeding and harvesting), depending on the season. The activities will be up to 5-6 hours, 5 days a week. We do not accept the use of drugs. Social drinking in moderation is allowed. We have a beautiful view surrounding the farm which we would like to share with you. If you are interested in staying with us please send a message. Welcome, we look forward to meet you! I had two great weeks on your farm! Ole and James are very nice and I liked the responsibility to care for all the different lovely animals. I had my own cozy little house and the view and all the snow were great. I will always remember the sledging with the horses and the sheep at the viking party. Thank you:))

I had a great time at Lysklæt, they were able to host me very last minute and were very welcoming. The farm is beautiful and a lot of care and knowledge has gone into it. The work was interesting and varied, and often you have to work independently. They were welcoming and kind, and I hope to be able to come back for a proper stay.

Beautiful farm, me and my friend loved it there. Felt like a second home 😊. Ole and James are the nicest people and we loved to listen to their stories. We will definitely come back if we have another chance!

C'était ma première expérience de woofing et j'ai vraiment adoré! La ferme était dans un cadre incroyable et j'ai vraiment eu le sentiment de dépaysement et d'avoir passé une belle semaine hors du temps.

Hi :) I Spendt a month at James and Ole's farm from the 11th of February to 11th of march. It was my first wwoofing. I took a long time to write this because it's so difficult to describe all the good feelings from this experience. What a rich experience ! It was so nice. Human's and animals welbeing is the priority ins this farm. Food was very good. They are great cookers. I liked to take care of the animals (cows, pigs, sheeps, chickens, rabbits ...). We built the horse'house and different boxes for the chickens. We hiked with them, we ate with them every evening. They were very interesting and friendly :) During days off, we had the time to visit Trondheim, such a nice city. I recommand this farm at 100% !
