Family home and garden - rural, Agritourism Destination, Flower Garden Farm
Innlandet
The farm is in a valley between the highest mountains in Norway, in a marvellous landscape with dry climate. We work bio-dynamical, but cooperate much with other producers, restaurants and hotels to create regional development. We have cows, and grow many sorts of vegetables. Our speciality is growing of herbs, we make teas and species and sell all over Norway. We have a herb-garden for visitors and shop, and a new building for cultural events in summer. "We" are a family with 5 children (19 -28) - and 2 - 5 co-workers and practicants. We need help from beginning of April til end of October, you get an own room and we make and eat the meals together. We want people to stay at least a month. Now we need help from the beginning of September to the end of October! We welcome interest and questions!
Certifications: Debio certified, also Demeter
Internet access available
Our french students that have been for the summer is soon leaving. We need some more hands from the beginning of September to the end of October. We have had enough people for the summer season, and it is always rather busy. So I am sorry for not being clever answering peoples requests. Now I will surely answer!
Autumn between the highest mountains in Norway can be a wonderful experience...
All the best, Ola

I have spend 3 weeks at Aukrust gard og urteri ! It was a very nice time there. I met new friends and discovered a lot about dry herbs, vegetables and tea. The area is perfect for mountains lovers, there are a lot of possibilities for hike.
Tusen tak for all Ola and Francizca, and Agnes and Cillian of course :)

Wonderful stay!
We stayed at Ola and Franziska's farm for one week (it was our first woof) and we really enjoyed it! Ola and Franziska are amazing hosts, very generous and kind. The activities are varied: picking flowers, packing orders, harvesting vegetables... The atmosphere is welcoming, we all eat together at breakfasts and lunches but with some alone time in the evening and during the weekends. The farm itself is very cosy and full of charm and the landscape around is breathtaking. There are many hikes in the area and the city of Lom is very cute!
Thank you again Ola and Franziska for having us!!

The valley where the farm is located is amazing, tall mountains with thin silver waterfalls and lots of flora. The atmosphere among all the volunteers is lovely, loved eating lunch together as well as hiking or watching movies :)
However, don't you expect much feedback from the hosts.

I highly recommend a stay at Aukrust Gard!
After experiencing dozens of WWOOF Farms in Norway, I can say that for me, Aukrust Gard delivered the most balanced and enriching experience.
The people, the work, the environment, the farm, all just fits together perfectly.
You get to learn a lot, not "just" about farming but also about many things beyond.
The options for activities beside the farmlife (e.g. hiking) are extraordinary and you can choose freely to either be for yourself or join in with the others, given you are open minded and motivatet.
The conditions are great and the atmosphere accordingly relaxed, yet, things get done on Aukrust Gard and the established system works, which makes the worktime very rewarding.
My best regards go to the whole Aukrust-team, I can not thank you enough for the fun time!
I look forward to frequent revisits in the near and far future.
All the best,
Josh
