Welcome to Ødelien! This cherished farm has been in our family for generations, with many buildings dating back to 1865. Situated in a beautiful mountain village surrounded by nature, we invite you to join us in revitalizing this special place. Our focus is on sustainable practices and preserving the rich heritage of the farm, where nature and tradition come together. About Us: We are a family of five, including our youngest, who is 17 and still ives at home. Having enjoyed our own WWOOFing experiences, and been a member for 30 years, we’re excited to share this journey with fellow volunteers. Farm activities: At Ødelien, we engage in a variety of rewarding activities, including: Forestry: Helping manage and maintain our forested areas. Vegetable Garden: Tending to our vegetable garden, where we grow seasonal produce. Preserving Fruits: Learning techniques for preserving berries and other fruits. Harvesting Medicinal Plants: Foraging and harvesting herbs that have medicinal properties. Fencing: Assisting with the upkeep and installation of fences around the property. We strive to match your skills and interests with the farm activities, so whether you’re experienced or eager to learn, there’s a place for you here! Activities: Our farm is located in a stunning mountain village, offering fantastic opportunities for nature lovers. Enjoy: Hiking: Explore numerous trails that wind through the forest and up the mountains, providing breathtaking views and a chance to connect with nature. Biking: Discover scenic routes suitable for all levels, whether you prefer leisurely rides or more challenging trails. Fishing: Relax by our pond and try your hand at fishing, enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Canoeing: Take a canoe out on the water for a fun day of paddling and exploration. Winter Sports: In winter, the area transforms into a skiing paradise, perfect for both downhill and cross-country skiing. Our village has also become a hub for artists, drawn by its unique light and rich cultural heritage, with recent openings for artist residencies and permanent exhibitions. We look forward to sharing our passion for farming, nature, and the beauty of Ødelien with you!

The Oslo-Bergen line makes it easy to reach the farm. Get off at Ål train station. From here we either pick you up or you can take the bus. Being so close to the West Coast makes it ideal for excursions to the fjords while you are here.

We spent 7 weeks in automn at Tone's place and it was truly the best experience for our first woofing adventure ! :D Tone was a wonderful host, we really felt like home. She is very cheerful and funny, preparing food and caring for us as we were her own children. Thanks to her we were able to learn and improve a lot of outdoor skills, from gardening to painting to renovating house ! We had plenty of time to discover the nature around, enjoying the sun while going for a walk or hiking the nearest moutain. Sledding behind the house during the first snow was also very fun. Thank you so much for having us (and also the friends we made there). Thank you for the fun night in the moutain, the little aurora adventure, the sauna, the pumpkin carving, the concert and all the little things you did for us :) We hope we will able to comeback one day, in summer this time, to enjoy the good weather and to encounter Pascal ! Take care of you, we wish you all the best ! (And a lot of kisses to Emma the Dog) Emma & Emilie

As my first woofing adventure, I have to say that I’m 100% grateful and happy that I chose Tone and her family as my hosts. They made me feel at home from the very first moment. Tone was extremely caring and attentive, preparing delicious home meals, giving me all the necessary equipment and clothes for both work and leisure time, like rain trousers, a woolen jersey, boots and also a bike to ride around the mountains. The forest around Ødelien and the landscapes were something out of a movie. I will never forget this experience and I recommend this to anyone who wants to have the time of their lives!

I'd like to thank Tone and her beautiful family (Pascal, Tuva, Johan, Jakob and Emma) for the 2 weeks we spent in Leveld. We stayed in a warm and comfortable cabin by the house, we had our own space but at the same time we felt welcome and part of the family! We have been travelling in Norway for 2 months and the places we saw in the area were the best we enjoyed so far! Thank you again! I wish you the best!!!

Me and my friend spend 2 weeks at Ødelien and I have to say that we did enjoy it very much. The work was mix ( from cleaning cabins, loading the tractor with branches and some panting). The weather was lovely and Tone suggested lots of beautiful places to explore:-))))) Thank you very much and remember if you come to London send me an email........

My friend and I had a very nice time in Ødelien during the winter. Tone and Pascal are kind and willing people. The place is great: quiet, panoramic, lots of hiking possibilities in the surroundings. We were independent during the staying and we had our personal cabin, which was nice. The main job was painting wood in the cabins of the farm, the organisation for the six working hours was very flexible and Tone was very helpful. We wish you all the best and regards to the kids! (and to Emma the Dog, big scratch!)

It was our first farm that we stayed on, in Norway, and it was very good experience. Tone and Pascal are very nice and easy going people, so it was very nice to work with them. The views from the farm, and around it are really beautiful and there are a lot of trips that you can do around. Thanks for having us on your farm! We wish you the best!
