Taiga FoodForest is a small farm and homestead in the deep forests of south eastern Norway. It is a sprouting food forest, where fruit and nut trees are mixed with berries and herbs into the natural forest, all to make a slightly altered eco-system where humans can thrive. There is salad and vegetable gardens and a flock of "viking" chickens. We are more or less self sustained with food in the season. 2025 will be amazing! The first year I can fully dedicate myself to the project. This coming year, we will start to provide healthy food to a few lucky households. I live here with my 4 year old daughter, that is around and about every second week.
I need help from dedicated people with the right motivation. If you are interested in permaculture, natural farming, regenerative farming, plant nurseries, vegetable growing, self sufficiency etc., you might be just the person needed here this season. I am offering all my knowledge and experience in addition to tasks that will provide you with "ownership" in the project. This is a once in a lifetime chance, if you are heading in a similar direction.
There is a large, "luxurious", trailer available, or you can bring your own tent if you are more comfortable camping. There will be two main meals per day, that we will take turns preparing. If this sounds little, don't worry, there is enough food and no one will go hungry.
This is a small farm located a little off the main path. It is ideal for people who like the forest, bicycling, hiking, camping etc. There are large forests and numerous gorgeous lakes and waterways around. Oslo, the capital, is only a few hours away with bus/train. We have contact with other exciting projects in the area. I, myself, have spend many years traveling the world and have worked on different amazing projects on several continents.
